Join us for an action packed two weeks of specially created workshops and behind the scenes site visits alongside fellow international students. You’ll not only be developing the practical skills necessary for a future in modern science, but forging international relationships with eminent scientists and a host of like-minded peers.

These programs have been specially created for 8th Graders through to High School Students.

Discover what lies beneath the city on a visit to the Parisian catacombs. Marvel at a rich array of treasures from Decure’s sculptures, the quarries footbath and the Sacellum Crypt to the sepulchral lamp and Gilbert’s tomb. Known as the ‘world’s largest grave’, explore the catacomb’s turbulent history, beginning with the ‘procession of bones’ in 1786.

Visit CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. Explore one of the world’s largest and most complex scientific instruments while discovering the secrets behind the fundamental laws of nature. Get answers to all the big questions while learning about the role of the machine itself as well as the team who operate it.

Take part in a service project centred on conservation, while learning how science and technology contribute to programs right around the world. Be an astronaut for the day, where you’ll take part in real life space training activities and have the chance to test your skills on space simulators. Participate in workshops and receive a training completion certificate -after learning how to moonwalk like a pro! The Height of Designt

Conquer the heights of one of Europe’s most impressive architectural and engineering feats. Climb the Eiffel Tower, which dominates the Parisian skyline, during an unforgettable moment in Paris. Urban Climbing

At the striking 02 Arena, there’s no need to use the front door. Strap yourself in to a harness and prepare for an urban adventure.     First impressions…
    Those all-important first impressions. Depart from the USA for London on your STEM exploration trip of a lifetime. Get to know your peers and fellow travelers who just like you share a passion for all things STEM related.

    Take in your first taste of London as you acclimatise to your new surroundings alongside experienced guides before settling in at your ideally located hotel. Get a good night’s rest, as you have an action packed day ahead of you!

  • DAY 2

    Welcome to London
    Meet your enthusiastic, dedicated program manager, who will welcome you to London and take you on a specially arranged orientation of the city culminating in a trip to the sky on-board the Coca-Cola London Eye.

    Get to know the capital of England during an insightful tour, packed with a whole host of fascinating facts, showcasing the very best of a city bursting with history, art and culture. Marvel at world famous landmarks including the Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge and St Paul’s Cathedral.

  • DAY 3

    School Days
    Visit a British School to spend time with students with likeminded interests. With a focus firmly on science, delve into the differences of educational approaches to a variety of subjects between Britain and America.

    Following lunch, head to the Natural History Museum to explore the wealth of artefacts and exhibits on display. Home to one of the largest collections of research in the world, you’re guaranteed to learn a thing or two!

  • DAY 4

    Industry Leading Science
    During an exclusive People to People moment, immerse yourself in a wealth of expert knowledge at a leading scientific organization. Discover how they operate on a day to day basis, explore current trends and learn how scientists collaborate to help not only the British public, but the world at large.

    Following your insightful meeting with industry experts, head over to the Science Museum. Once inside, not only will you get to enjoy the many wonders on display to the general public, but also join a fascinating workshop designed to open up new areas of scientific discovery.

  • DAY 5

    The History of Time
    Explore Greenwich, historic home of ‘father time’, and straddle the meridian which separates the east and west hemisphere. Learn the origins of how we measure time at the picturesque museum, perched high above leafy Greenwich and the River Thames.

    Spend the afternoon at the Tower of London, where you’ll find over a thousand years of history. See the sparkling Crown Jewels in all their glory as well as the world famous Beefeaters. Spend an evening enjoying a play in London’s celebrated West End.

  • DAY 6

    Meet the Experts
    Enjoy a specially organized visit to a laboratory or industry leading scientific organization. Learn about exploratory work, trials, and the processes of research and development as well as how leading organizations underpin society from banks to manufacturers and technology firms.

    This is your chance to see science in action. Discovers the different ways in which STEM subjects can be used in a variety of occupations. Pay close attention, and try out a little networking, you never know who you might get to meet…

  • DAY 8

    Landmarks of London
    London offers an impressive array of landmarks which are a testament to the architectural and engineering firms which have designed and constructed them. Explore the city and take in these buildings while hearing a specialized talk about the development of architecture in London.

    Following a tasty bite to eat, end your tour at one of London’s greatest engineering marvels – the O2 Arena. Test your bravery as you climb up and over the dome for breath-taking views of the city that stretch for as far as the eye can see.

  • DAY 9

    Under the Sea
    Set out to Paris on-board the Eurostar, speeding under the English Channel, inside one of the most impressive engineering accomplishments of recent times. Travel through the largest under-sea portion of any tunnel in the world, seventy-five meters below the sea bed.

    Travel through scenic French countryside, rolling hills and picture perfect scenes on the journey to the renowned Eurospace Centre, as you take your first steps through main-land Europe.

  • DAY 10

    The Eurospace Centre
    Spend the day participating in a multitude of challenging pursuits including space mission simulations, astronaut training, microrocket workshops, telescope building classes and observing the sun.

    Attend presentations on topics such as ‘living and working in space’, ‘weightlessness and its effects’, and ‘the International Space Station’. During your whirlwind tour of one of the most important scientific centers in the continent, gain an understanding of just what it takes to work at the pinnacle of space exploration.

  • DAY 11

    Welcome to Paris
    Travel south to Paris to visit two very diverse, but equally impressive, architectural and engineering feats. Climb the Eiffel Tower, which dominates the Parisian skyline. Gaze out over the City of Lights from this giant artistic masterpiece.

    Following your first taste of world renowned Parisian cuisine, head to an island in the middle of the Seine, and visit the famous Notre Dame Cathedral. Marvel at its breath-taking design, while also exploring the wealth of art on show inside.

  • DAY 12

    The City of Lights
    At People to People, we like to get the most out of every single experience.¬ This is why we’ve arranged to have only the most knowledgeable guides showcase the many delights of one of the most visited capitals anywhere in the world.

    Get to know the city on a personal level, exploring landmarks including the Arc de Triumphe and Montmartre before spending the afternoon at the Palais de la Decouverte. The renowned science museum is situated on the famous Avenue Franklin D. Roosevelt.

  • DAY 13

    Giants of Science
    Visit La Cite de Science, the biggest science museum in Europe. Highlights include the planetarium, a genuine submarine, an IMAX theater and a whole host of special areas and activities for students and teenagers.

  • DAY 14

    The Louvre
    The Louvre, home to the Mona Lisa, is one of the most well-known and well-respected art galleries in the world. Explore the museum’s treasures and marvel at a spectacular collection of artwork.

    During the afternoon enjoy some free time in the city. This is your chance to grab some souvenirs, presents for family and maybe treat yourself to something nice from the Champs-Elysees. As one of the most famous and fashionable shopping areas in Europe, you’ll be spoiled for choice!

  • DAY 15

    Swiss Gold
    Travel across France by train to Geneva, home to the European headquarters of the United Nations and The Red Cross. Explore the old town and learn from your program manager how Geneva has become a hub for diplomacy, banking and business.

    Explore the city’s rich history on an immersive tour that showcases the very best landmarks, attractions and natural wonders. Highlights include the St Pierre Cathedral, Jt d’Eau, and the Palace of Nations.

  • DAY 16

    CERN Hadron Collider
    On one of the highlights of your European scientific tour, visit CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. Explore one of the world’s largest and most complex scientific instruments while discovering the secrets behind the fundamental laws of nature.

    Get answers to all the big questions. What are the biggest problems facing contemporary physics? What is the Higgs Boson and what does it tell us about the origins of the Universe? What is the role of CERN, its focus and objectives? And what are the experiments conducted on its premises?
