  1. I, the undersigned, whose signature appears electronically at the end of this document, acknowledge that my son/daughter is a registrant for a trip with People to People International Travel Programs (“PTPI”). PTPI includes ECE International Group Ltd, any subsidiary companies and any other associated companies.
  1. I hereby acknowledge that I have read and agree the PTPI Terms and Conditions and the itinerary description, as well as those provisions contained in the statements below, and acknowledge that they form part of my agreement with PTPI including sections concerning responsibility, refunds and changes in dates, cities, hotels and prices.
  1. I consent that my son/daughter can participate in all activities provided and/or organized by PTPI (including the possibility of water-based activities and homestays), and I relieve PTPI of liability towards all risks of loss or injury that may be incurred, directly or indirectly as a result of my son/daughter’s participation in all activities provided and/or organized by PTPI. I also authorize PTPI to arrange for professional care and treatment for my son/daughter in case of a medical emergency. I agree that if my son/daughter becomes ill or incapacitated, PTPI may, without incurring any liability, take such actions as it considers necessary under the circumstances, including securing medical treatment for him/her and transporting my son/daughter to the United States all at my expense or in accordance with the insurance policy I have. I agree to release PTPI from any liability for the quality and timeliness of any such medical care received or for any expenses incurred. I understand that PTPI shall distribute to me through my group leader written behavior guidelines and regulations concerning my son/daughter’s behavior while traveling. I understand that PTPI cannot accept responsibility for travelers not following these rules and regulations, and that my son/daughter may be sent home at my expense without benefit of any refund if my son/daughter does not adhere to the PTPI behavior guidelines and standards and the instructions of the group leader.
  1. I will indemnify PTPI, its affiliates, agents, directors, officers, employees and all group leaders, and hold them harmless for any financial liability or obligation which my son/daughter personally incurs, or injury or damage to the person or property of others which they cause or contribute to, while participating in a PTPI program.
  1. I understand that PTPI reserves the right to reassign participants to a replacement group leader should the original group leader not participate in the program for any reason.
  1. I understand that the air carriers’ liability for loss or damage to baggage, or for death or injury to person or property, is limited by their tariffs and/or the Warsaw Convention and related agreements. Further, I understand that the air carriers assume no responsibility during such time that my son/daughter is not on board their aircraft.
  1. I understand that future PTPI advertising and publicity material may include statements made by participants, or their photographs/video footage. I consent to such use of my son/daughter in this content, comments or photographic/video likenesses.
  1. I understand that my son/daughter is responsible for exercising caution and common sense at all times to avoid injuries. I understand that PTPI is providing, as part of the program fee, basic protection coverage for my son/daughters benefit, including limited health, accident and life insurance in the event of injury or illness while on a PTPI program, as well as offering the option to purchase additional insurance giving a higher level of protection.
  1. I hereby waive and release PTPI, its affiliates, agents, directors, officers, employees and all group leaders, host school agents and school officials, including any person or entity employed or utilized by PTPI or host schools in any foreign country, from all claims arising from any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or expense resulting from events beyond its control, including without limitation, acts of God, war, terrorism, strikes, incidents of politically-motivated violence, sickness or quarantine, government restrictions or regulations, and, in the absence of its own gross negligence, arising from the use of any vehicle or from PTPI’s selection of, or from any act or omission by, any host family, bus or car rental agency, boat, airline, railroad, taxi or tour service, hotel service, hotel, restaurant, school, university, or other firm, agency, company or individual.
  1. I understand that PTPI reserves the right to make changes in the program and in program costs as described on the PTPI website, and itinerary description without liability for refund.
