Meet Some of our Leaders
Eastern Europe National Delegation Leader
Julie has a BS in Education from Bucknell University and Master’s Degree in Education from Marygrove College. She teaches Math, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies at Rio Salado College. She has lived in Japan, and has traveled all over the world and really hopes to get to Antarctica soon. She has been leading programs with People to People since 2003 and has traveled with students to Italy, France, Spain, Monaco, Vatican City, Costa Rica, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Ireland, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales. Besides travel, she enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with her husband and identical 10 year-old twins.

European Classics National Delegation Leader
Cassie received her BS in Physical Education from Saint Joseph’s College, Masters in Education from the University of New England, and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Leadership from the University of New England. She has been teaching physical education and health for eighteen years. She is also the class advisor for the Class of 2020, boys JV soccer coach and the varsity girls basketball coach. She has traveled to Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Costa Rica, Greece, Italy, France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, England, Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Her travel goal is to visit all 50 states.

South Africa National Delegation Leader
Evelyn is from Fairfax, Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and her Master’s from the University of South Florida. She teaches in the Fairfax County School District. Evelyn has traveled as a leader with People to People on seven programs. Travel is a passion, and she loves the chance to learn about the cultures of the places she visits.

National Delegation Leader: Celtic Cultures
Amal received her BA in Education from Wittenberg University and a Master of Education in Curriculum from Montclair State University. She has been teaching for twenty-nine years and coaches swimming, girls lacrosse, and started the drama club and nature club at her school. She is an avid traveler and has been to Australia, Austria, England, Fiji, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, New Zealand, Palestine, Scotland, Slovakia, Thailand and Wales.
