Welcome to London
Arrive in London, a city of rich history, iconic sights, diverse cultures, memorable museums, and more. Visit Runnymede along the banks of the River Thames, where the Magna Carta was signed in the year 1215. See the John F. Kennedy Memorial here, which was dedicated in 1965 by Queen Elizabeth II and Jacqueline Kennedy. After your welcome dinner, soar high above the city’s skyline on the Coca-Cola London Eye ferris wheel, taking in the incredible panoramic views.
Best of London
This morning, head over to Buckingham Palace to witness the Changing of the Guard, then visit the Tower of London, home to the Crown Jewels and over a thousand years of fascinating history. Afterwards, explore London by boat, cruising past the many world-famous landmarks that line the banks of the River Thames. In the afternoon enjoy an authentic global ambassador experience, as you meet with a former Member of British Parliament. Tonight, top off this action-packed day with dinner and a show in London’s West End.
The BRIT School and Oxford
Meet talented students from The BRIT School in London, alma mater of Adele. You’ll be escorted around this world-famous school by current students and have the chance to visit their dance and recording studios. Later, continue on to Oxford, home of one of the world’s oldest universities. Tonight transfer to Warwick.
Visit historical Warwick Castle and participate in a medieval encampment re-enactment at the famous castle. In this interactive hands-on experience, you’ll travel back to the Middle Ages, seeing history come to life as you fire the world’s largest trebuchet (catapult) and learn to sword fight. This afternoon, work alongside local teenagers and give back as part of a group community service project.
This morning discover Shakespeare’s home town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Visit his house and learn about life’s work. Later, meet your British homestay family and be immersed in the traditional British way of life for the next two days. Your homestay family is carefully selected, matching you with peers your own age and with activities designed to provide you with the most authentic experience possible. Eat regional foods, meet local students, and see the real Britain during this unique People to People moment.
Stonehenge and Bath
Check off two UNESCO-listed monuments in one day on this full-day tour of Bath and Stonehenge. Explore the historic spa town of Bath and visit landmarks like the Roman Baths, the Royal Crescent and Bath Abbey. Continue to Stonehenge, one of the wonders of the world and most famous prehistoric monuments in Europe. Later, travel back to the capital city of London, and enjoy your farewell dinner with your fellow student delegates and leaders.
As your journey ends, head to the airport in London to board your flight home.
