Touch down in Vienna, the capital city of Austria. This afternoon take a guide sightseeing tour of this city which is world-renowned for its classical music, and Imperial palaces, including Schönbrunn, the Habsburgs’ summer residence.

Day 3
This morning gain insights into the Holocaust from an expert passionate about World War II education during an open discussion on this turbulent time of European history. This afternoon, board your private vintage tram and ride through the city in style towards Schönbrunn Palace, summer residence of the Austrian Emperor. Tonight, join a Classical Viennese Concert while walking in the footsteps of celebrated composers Mozart and Strauss.

Mauthausen Concentration Camp
Day 4
This morning, visit Mauthausen Concentration Camp, the last concentration camp to be liberated by the Allied Force. Later, transfer to Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart. Enjoy a guided tour through this beautiful city, including the Hohensalzburg Fortress and Mirabell Palace.

Day 5
Today you will hike through one of the region’s most stunning alpine trails, learning to navigate your way through the mountains. Experience a thrilling ropes course and ride a cable car to Gruneck, with spectacular views the whole time. Then go on the thrilling alpine coaster, an amazing feat of design and construction that gives you an unforgettable ride down the mountain. Tonight, meet your host family and settle into the local way of life.

Over the next couple of days, you’ll immerse yourself in the everyday life of an Austrian family, enjoying everything from regional foods and local traditions to social activities with students your age.

Munich, Germany
Neuschwanstein Castle
Day 8
Say good-bye to your host family and depart for Munich. Visit the magical Neuschwanstein Castle, “the castle of the fairy-tale king.” This famous castle was commissioned for Ludwig II of Bavaria and was his home until he died in 1886. Later, continue on to Munich, Germany, the Bavarian capital.

Day 9
Visit the Marienplatz in center of the city to see the popular Glokenspiel show, before heading to the English Gardens where you may catch surfers riding the waves on a river, and later, visit Nymphenburg Palace, the summer palace of former Bavarian rulers. This afternoon, you will visit the BMW Museum and Olympic Park – host of the 1972 Olympic Games.
