The health and safety of every
Ambassador has always been our top priority. For
more than 50 years, we've diligently worked to
make our safety measures as advanced and
comprehensive as possible. We choose our
destinations carefully, relying on the advice of
the U.S. State Department, the Federal Aviation
Administration, and the Department of Homeland
Security, as well as numerous international
safety and security organizations.
Our delegation managers and
worldwide partners accompany each delegation and
coordinate daily activities overseas. All
delegations are also supported by an
international team. In addition, we provide
training for our delegation leaders, all of whom
are CPR-certified. The leaders teach safety and
apply various methods to ensure that Ambassadors
are safe and accounted for during travel. We
also maintain a 24-hour presence in our program
office during all travel periods.
