Responsibility of a leader

The following information relates to Student and Leadership Ambassador programs' leaders. Please review before applying.

• Promote and represent People to People Ambassador Programs
• Attend two or more leader-training sessions offered in their local area or online (international programs), and complete webinar and/or onsite training requirements (domestic programs)
• Successfully complete online training requirements
• Develop and grow as educators
• Provide proof of valid Adult and Child CPR certification
• Attend and facilitate orientation meetings (international programs only)
• Participate in the entire travel program to fully gain benefits
• Accept any available travel assignment willingly
• Comply with program office guidelines
• Put pre-travel education and experience into practice by
  (international programs):
  • Interviewing program applicants within 14-21 days of their application to ensure they are suited to participate on our programs
  • Responsibly leading and mentoring participants
  • Assuming responsibility for the safety and well-being of students
  • Demonstrating diplomacy, helping resolve travel issues, and modeling a positive attitude
  • Communicating with other leaders, coaches, travel managers, and program office staff in a professional manner
  • Instructing and aiding participants as they earn academic credit
  • Evaluating participants on the completion of their academic credit
  • Supervising and appropriately disciplining student participants

Leaders may also recommend additional leaders or the selection, transfer, or withdrawal of program participants, but the program office has sole discretion and final authority in all matters concerning program participation.

Leaders may not travel with their children in the same delegation.

Leaders shall not incur any financial liability without the prior authorization of a program office representative or modify items including but not limited to the Booking Conditions and the Terms and Conditions of Travel of the program published in the student, or leader application, including such things as payment schedules, withdrawal requirements, deadlines, or any other agreements or documents provided by the program office. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, the program office reserves the right to remove a leader either prior to or during the program for any reason whatsoever, with or without cause, without any liability or obligation to the leader. Ambassador Programs, Inc., d/b/a People to People Ambassador Programs, and/or its affiliates shall not be responsible or liable for any damages for any damages or injuries suffered by the leader while participating.
