Preparing for a Journey

People to People Ambassador Programs prepares students for their journey long before departure. We will send you a series of emails in the months leading up to your program to provide information about your destination, program activities, and travel tips and logistics for the journey. After enrolling in your leadership development program, you can expect to receive the following information:
  • A letter of acknowledgement and a press release to send to your local media.
  • An official Welcome Packet that includes a two-pocket folder with a health form, Standards for Success forms, Success Contracts, travel guidelines, an unaccompanied minor brochure, and phone card information.
  • Access to your own Delegate Communication Center, where you’ll download your pre-travel assignments, review your study guide, and find answers to many other questions.
  • A Travel Pack with official People to People apparel, lanyard, name tag, and schedule of activities, which will arrive approximately four weeks prior to your program start date.

Upon arrival at their delegation’s destination, students receive an on-site study workbook and a detailed itinerary to assist them with their program.

When your child returns home, he or she will receive an evaluation form, completion certificate, and transcript from the Washington School of World Studies.
